Feb 22, 2023
PV Hardware (PVH), a manufacturer of solar tracking mounts, plans to build a new solar tracking mount factory in an industrial estate in Valencia, Spain.
PVH's expanded factory in Spain will cover 65,000 square metres and the Gransolar Group subsidiary plans to increase its global annual production and supply capacity to 25GW.
PVH has reportedly purchased six hectares of land in Valencia for the construction of a new solar tracking racking plant, which is intended to unify its activities in Spain. The company's activities are currently spread over seven different sites.
PVH was contacted by the media regarding the annual capacity of the solar tracking racking plant in Spain, which PVH says will be the largest solar tracking racking plant in the world.
Outside of Spain, PVH has a solar tracking mount plant in operation in Saudi Arabia, and the company expects to build a plant in Texas in June 2023
In addition, PVH will invest more than €20 million (US$21.4 million) to build a torque tube plant in the coming months to expand its operations.
Emilio García, PVH's Chief Operating Officer, said, "By bringing all our activities together in one logistics centre, we will be able to increase our capacity, participate in more projects and drive product development and improvement, while offering our customers better conditions and better service."
Outside Spain, PVH has a plant in operation in Saudi Arabia with an annual capacity of 8GW, opening in November 2022. The company is currently building a 6GW plant in Texas, USA, which is expected to be commissioned in June 2023.
Since the start of its activities in 2011, PVH has supplied more than 25GW of solar tracking mounts to 230 solar power plants worldwide.
